The Blu Note Party Band is made up of some of the best and brightest funk and soul musicians in Los Angeles. We are seven guys ranging in age from 20-29 years old, from a mix of different racial backgrounds brought together by a shared love for live dance music. Our one aim is to make sure that our audience can’t help but get up out of their seats and start having a blast. We dress well, show up early, play our butts off, and entertain the people from the moment we hit the first note. You can count on us to provide a professionally reliable product as well as top-notch musical entertainment. You won’t find our rare combination of youthful style and energy complimented by veteran experience and reliability anywhere else.
Our repertoire consists of a wide variety of styles from Stevie Wonder and James Brown, to Justin Timberlake and Jamiroquai. The instrumentation is always lead by vocalist and trumpet player Michael Cartwright and can range from a quartet up to a seven-piece band with full horn section. Michael is as entertaining a front-man as you will see and has the experience and charisma to take any party to the next level. In addition to bringing in our standard hits we also love to learn new music to suit or clients’ wants and desires.
As long as there is a party that needs a live band to kick it into high gear, there is a need for The Blu Note Party Band.
